When you set up IT for a new business in the UAE, you may find that you’re missing necessary IT equipment – in some cases, you may be missing all of it! With all the other things going on as you launch a new business, it can be easy to overlook IT equipment.
Luckily, Cloud Technologies based in Dubai, are here to do the work so that you don’t have to with our invaluable Procurement Service.
How does it work?
We’ll start off with an initial call to discuss your requirements and identify what hardware, software, and licensing you’ll need. We can find the highest spec for your budget, or alternatively, if you already know what make or model you prefer, our team will locate the best possible price for that equipment. Whichever route you take, we’ll generate a quote and email it to you alongside the estimated delivery dates (exact dates are confirmed once the order has been placed). Once we receive confirmation that you accept the quote via email alongside an upfront payment, our Procurement team will place the order and keep you updated through the whole process.
Please be aware that as a result of Covid-19 and the recent events in Eastern Europe, there are shortages of IT equipment. Lead times from several vendors are increasing. We therefore strongly recommend that you place orders as soon as possible to procure equipment without further uncontrollable delays.
IT Procurement Licensing
Occasionally, software vendors will require you to have an active licence before you can gain the right to use a 3rd parties’ product. As a business, obtaining the correct and necessary licensing should already feature on your to-do list to avoid being in breach of the licensing agreement and risking fines or worse. In more recent years, Microsoft has provided subscription-based services including Microsoft Office 365 which can act as your valid licence. In addition to Software licensing, there are also some circumstances which require Hardware licensing. If any of the equipment discussed during our initial call is identified as requiring a licence, this will be added to the Procurement quote given to you.
